About My Practice

The Process

The process of change can be a difficult one. There are many obstacles you can expect to encounter in trying to change. The single most important factor in creating therapeutic change is actually the relationship that you have with your therapist. As a result, finding the best fit for YOU is crucial. I am devoted to creating a very genuine, safe, comfortable, empathetic, and understanding environment for my clients. My philosophy: because people are unique with their own individual experience, I pull from many different theories, exercises, and fields of thought to create an experience that is custom to my clients' specific needs.

Treatment Focus

Preferred modalities of treatment are based on client needs and presenting problems. My background and training in therapy enable me to utilize a variety of techniques and skills to best suit your needs. My practice offers services to a wide range of clients, including flexible appointments.

Practice

My clientele and counseling include individuals, couples, and families and involves clients with a variety of issues including sexual, drug, and alcohol addictions. I am also an approved AAMFT Supervisor and can supervise both MFT and CPC interns.

I am the host of “The Vegas Therapist” podcast. Join my Facebook group: Ryan Wynder-The Vegas Therapist Podcast Group for updates on my practice and other info.

BIO

I am originally from Alberta, Canada. After completing my Bachelor's Degree, I ventured to Las Vegas with my wife and young son to attend UNLV, where I received my Masters of Science Degree in Counseling/Marriage & Family Therapy.

I began my career in a couple of different counseling agencies, but my desire was always to have my own private practice. I have built a successful practice over the years as I continue to grow and evolve as a therapist. Currently, I am an approved primary supervisor for interns and enjoy the opportunity to pass on my experience to those new to the field.

I feel that I am able to connect and empathize with the majority of my clients because of various life experiences. This connection allows for the formation of a strong therapeutic relationship which is essential for success in therapy.

I have been married for 20+ years to my wife Sonia, we have three children: Jaxon (20), Maddux (17), and Jurnee (14).
